It truly is a great all-round bike that has earned a very good reliability rating and trouble free motoring. The VFR will rack up over 200,000 klms if they are serviced well. My only criticism is power delivery. I think lower end torque has been sacrificed for high levels of top end power.
The impressive torque and engine sound are the soul fuel that stands tall for the new generation VFR800X Crossrunner. The last serious upgrade was in 2015 when the engine was redesigned for more mid-range, and the bodywork was reshaped. To make it safer, Honda fitted the VFR800X with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system.
Čudujem sa, kde je tých 242 kilogramov, toľko totiž Crossrunner váži, len to akosi takto tragicky nevnímam, a to je motor ešte vypnutý. Takže manipulácia na mieste ok. Ťukes do štartéra, šaltpáky a pomaly sa vymotávam v skupine ostatných Crossrunner-ov od hotela. Zatiaľ zvukový prejav nič moc, no aspoň to nikoho neprovokuje.
