The Garmin Forerunner 630 is the company's latest tech-packed flagship running watch, Garmin Forerunner 640: Battery Life. it can last for a month without being clipped back into its charger. For years now I have used the Garmin 245, which falls in the middle of Garmin's Forerunner line and is aimed mainly at runners. With the release of the Forerunner 255, Garmin has retired the 245. My forerunner 935 does all I need, but the battery is aging. Have to charge every 4 or 5 days and cannot go on a long run when battery is below 30% (or below 40% for a decent bike ride) I plan to do as long as possible with my watch, so I buy a watch with the largest battery so I still have okayish battery life after a few years.
It outperformed the Polar M430 and the Garmin Forerunner 235. We had no problem getting two weeks out of the Forerunner 35 in normal usage mode (i.e., running 2 or 3 times a week for about an hour and using the watch daily with smart notifications) and over 12 hours in activity mode!
